Description
- The village Opposite the church, built in 1875 in neo-Gothic style, walk along its left side and climb the tarmac road to the D287, then turn left and leave the road via a steep path on the right.
- La Pibole Head towards Champis La Batie on the right. You can enjoy a sweeping view to the north over both sides of the Duzon valley, which plunges down towards the Duzon vats. Continue climbing until you reach the Veyrier cross.
- Le Veyrier From this point, there is a panoramic view of the Pic de Saint Romain de Lerps and the Alps. Descending to the left towards Champis La Bâtie, you will pass through numerous small pine and chestnut woods.
- Les Combettes Turning left towards Saint-Sylvestre, you will pass through several hamlets, including Orsival, where you can see a stone wheel used for threshing grain, abandoned near the old threshing floors, as well as a basin carved out of local stone. After passing the hamlet of La Garina, you will cross the River Morge, the former site of a canal that supplied a sawmill and a mill that were in operation until the 1930s. Continue on the D 219 to the Gournier bridge.
- Gournier Bridge Before the bridge, take the path on the left overlooking the Duzon. The more adventurous among you may enjoy swimming in the Duzon, but at your own risk. Please leave this unspoilt natural site clean and tidy.
- The Grand Moulin You are now at the base of a powerful, enclosed meander stretching over 1 km. Take the path that climbs to the left to return to the village.
- Towns crossed : SAINT-SYLVESTRE, GILHOC-SUR-ORMÈZE, and CHAMPIS
