Between the sun-drenched vineyards of the Rhône Valley and the wooded hillsides covered with holm oaks, chestnut trees and pines, this crossing of Rhône Crussol, from Saint-Péray to Alboussière, offers irresistible charm at every turn.
 

A lovely day trip to the plateau, with a gentle climb that makes this hike accessible to all nature lovers.
 


Description

  1. Town Hall Square Take Rue Ferdinand Malet to Place Richard on the left. Cross it to the playground, then follow the Mialan River on the right until you reach a small stream. Cross it and immediately follow it upstream on the left. Cross Route de Toulaud towards the hamlet of Amourdedieu via Route des Putiers, which climbs to the right. Continue to the Cœur de Vignes guesthouse and take the path on the left between the vineyards.
  2. Rochette Cross the D533, known as Route du Pin, and take the small road opposite. Cross the field and take the wide path on the left. Enjoy the magnificent view of Crussol Mountain, the Rhône Valley and the Vercors. Take the road on the left and continue along the Pr.
  3. Gachet Take the path on the left towards Alboussière and follow the Pr for 3 km.
  4. Le chemin du tram Walk carefully along the Route du Pin for 150 metres (very busy road) then go down the small path on the left below.
  5. Le pin This very pretty path under the departmental road crosses an oak forest. Back on the tarmac road at the hamlet of Pierre Blanche, go up to the right to join the D533.
  6. Combe des Rioux Walk carefully along the D533 on the left for about 900 metres. After the restaurant "Lou Viroulet", go down the path on the left that runs alongside the main road below, then go back up to the D533 at the hamlet of Leyrisse.
  7. Col de Leyrisse At the Leyrisse crossroads, leave the D533 and take the small tarmac road to Rosières, following the GR towards Alboussière. Behind you, the view opens up over the Jergne valley, as far as the Crussol massif, the Trois Becs and the Vercors.
  8. Rosières Continue straight ahead to reach the village of Alboussière. Passing the hamlet of Rosières, the road becomes a path that descends to a tarmac road. Turn right.
  9. La Pine Cross the bridge over the Duzon and leave the D533 on the right.
  10. Vivier Continue straight ahead on the GR to the village. At the post office on the left, you will find the weighbridge and the bus stop.
